Microsoft vs. Google… or is it?

Search engine wars – first two companies you think of are Microsoft and Google. (Some may think Yahoo… but then you think either Microsoft of Google may one day buy them out.)

Smart phone wars – Windows Mobile and Android. (Blackberry still has their followers in the business world, and iPhone currently is the “fun” phone. Symbian and Nokia are players in their own right, but when it comes down to true smart phones these two will determine the way the battle is played out.)

What about game consoles? Everyone knows the Playstation 3 is the best available right? Hmmm, better hardware does not always make a better system. (As I sadly look back at my Sega Saturn and wonder where things went wrong.) Innovation is key, and the Nintendo Wii was at the top with the original game play of being able to physically interact using the Wii remote. Now I introduce to you, the Microsoft “Project Natal“. It is essentially a webcam with voice recognition software. Only with more of a Matrix like feel. Imagine your onscreen avatar dressed like you, responding to your every move. Heck, why imagine.. take a look at the video below!

All of these things may seem separate right now, but bookmark this post. As times goes on we will be referencing it to show how it will all come together. Just remember that it is not all a Microsoft Google battle. There are other players who will either come up with good ideas to be copied by our star players… or they will be devoured by our juggernauts and become part of the Hive.

Google, Microsoft, Video Games
