Sprint going Android!
It was announced today via Phonenews that Sprint will be getting the new HTC Hero device. While Sprints first Android phone, and the first announced US Android phone not on T-Mobile’s network is big news, there is one that tops it. In the same story, Phonenews announces Sprint will be carrying the first Android 4G device. Samsung is supposedly testing a WiMAX/CDMA device. The only device that I have seen coming from Samsung is the GT-i7500 Galaxy but the specs I have on it are from the GSM version (which was preliminary and subject to change) and did not include anything about WiMAX. For those of you who don’t know what WiMAX is, compare dial up speeds to DSL or cable…. now think of a jump in your phone data speed of that magnitude. Let’s hope Phonenews got it right!
