WIFI has been working hard
With all the talk of a Triple G phone coming out, the thought of city wide WIFI becomes an important “what-if” question. If you could travel across a state, city or even between states using a WIFI connection that was secure, consistent and high speed would it be valuable? The upcoming 802.11u standard will provide a better framework for interworking with external networks. So roaming from T-Mobile to AT&T’s WIFI network will become a possibility. I will have more updates on how the changes in WIFI will change communication in the coming year. (Or at least my thoughts on the idea.)
